At least 6 hours of sleep every day most people say, is enough for them to function in their own ways.
But even 8 hours of sleep is not enough for Sleepyhead, the Master of Sleep.
Sleepyhead wakes up at 9.30am, sometimes 10.30am every day.
Awake but still sleepy, the Master lies in bed for another 15 to 30 minutes more,
hoping the sleep bug goes away.
Out of circumstance, Sleepyhead the Master get out of bed.
Not because she’s wide awake, but because there’s so much to do for the day.
She gets up, with poofy messy hair, drags herself to the bathroom, plops onto the toilet bowl, goes about her business, before using whatever little energy she has in her right now, pulls herself up and towards the sink, flips the tap, collects some cool water in her hands before splashing onto her sleepy face.
Did it work?
Not really.
So Sleepyhead, who’s now 5% more awake, drags herself to the kitchen, and makes a cup of hot tea.
Usually that should do the trick.
Did it work?
Not really.
The Master of Sleep is feeling sleepy again.
So what should she do?
Maybe just go back and sleep again.
Or maybe, just remain in the state of sleepiness throughout the day.
Aha!
She decides.
Why not meditate?
Fight the sleepy bug, head on.
And she sat down to meditate.
To her delight,
For almost 30 minutes,
she was awake and not feeling sleepy at all!
Meditation is the cure!
When she opened her eyes,
Oh no…
She started feeling sleepy again…
Sleepyhead, is truly The Master of Sleep.
